School officials and law enforcement agencies advocate for effective school resource officer (SRO) programs as a way to ensure a safe, healthy learning environment. SROs must acquire a number of specialized skills to be proactive on school campuses, with an emphasis on prevention. They serve unique roles in law enforcement as they also perform as teachers, mentors and counselors on the school campus.
Our SRO classes provide a uniform education and training program to help increase the knowledge and skill set of law enforcement officers working in a school setting to establish a safe school environment.
