We’re excited to announce that the Advanced School Safety Coordinator Academy is now available ONLINE — making it easier than ever for educators and safety leaders to access this vital training, no matter where they are in Arkansas.

When conducting lockdown drills, it’s important to standardize these practices and ensure they’re carried out with clarity, consistency, and care.

This Train-the-Trainer course is designed to help your district align with the LEARNS Act requirements for annual lockdown drills — equipping you to conduct and evaluate drills in a trauma-informed and effective way.

This Online Course Covers:

  • Lockdown procedures and logistics
  • Research-based insights into the impact of drills
  • Best practices for reducing trauma
  • A validated evaluation tool for standardized drill assessment
  • Materials to train others in your district

Who Should Take This Class:

Anyone who has completed the School Safety Coordinator Academy and is ready to take the next step in school safety leadership. All participants must agree to provide the training free of charge in their district and to report training numbers to the Arkansas Center for School Safety.
