School Resource Officer II (Intermediate)

This 3 day course provides continued development for experienced school resource officers. The first part of this course teaches an SRO how to effectively present in the classroom, to community members, or educational staff. The final half of the course will focus on solo-engagement tactics which provide officers, who may find themselves “first on the scene,” with the necessary mental and physical skills. Also included will be practical exercises using Airsoft in mock scenarios to gain experience in applying the tactics and techniques learned in the classroom.

Prerequisite: SROs attending this class must have successfully completed the SRO I Basic course.
