Advanced School Safety Coordinator Academy
This 8-hour training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to design, develop, and facilitate effective tabletop exercises. Learners will gain an understanding of the purpose and value of tabletop exercises in evaluating plans, policies, procedures, and response capabilities within schools, organizations, and agencies.
Throughout the course, participants will learn the key components of exercise development, including identifying objectives, selecting realistic scenarios, creating exercise documentation, facilitating participant discussion, and conducting post-exercise evaluations. The course also introduces best practices aligned with emergency management and preparedness principles to ensure exercises are engaging, structured, and outcome driven.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to build customized tabletop exercises tailored to their organization’s needs and confidently lead discussions that promote collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
