This inspiring and informative course, led by Camden native Wyletta Johnson, offers a unique perspective on living with autism and fostering understanding within communities. Wyletta, a graduate of Camden Fairview High School and Southern Arkansas University, holds a Master of Science in Mental Health and Wellness with an Emphasis in Family Dynamics from Grand Canyon University.

As the founder of Autistic Voyage-Autism Fairy, she has dedicated her life to supporting autism awareness and advocacy through annual events, support groups for strong autism moms, motivational speaking, poetry, and authoring four published books.

In this session, Wyletta will:

  • Share her personal journey and insights as an advocate and author, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and resilience, themes highlighted in her latest book, “How Can I Complain.”
  • Discuss her initiative, “Bridging the Gap,” which aims to create dialogue between the autism community and first responders, enhancing mutual understanding and safety.
  • Explore strategies for increasing autism acceptance and awareness within schools, law enforcement, and broader community settings.

This course is an invaluable resource for educators, law enforcement, and community members committed to supporting individuals with autism, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring a safer, more understanding environment for all.
