Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed October 17-23, 2020, to be Arkansas Safe Schools Week!
This week is observed annually to urge all who play a role in campus safety to work together to make our nation’s schools safe, secure and peaceful places for learning, teaching and working. This is a great opportunity for schools, law enforcement agencies, and communities across the State to celebrate the strides we’ve made in safeguarding Arkansas schools while also brainstorming and discussing additional measures we can implement, both individually and collectively, to continue our progress.
In an effort to keep Arkansas schools safe, the Arkansas Center for School Safety is committed to providing year-round education, training, resources, and technical assistance to Arkansas educators and law enforcement professionals.
Watch this week as we share a sampling of the school safety resources and trainings that are available for Arkansas schools.
